This past summer I’ve visited Czech for the first time in my life. I love driving for hours. Listening to music and just watch the world go by… Czech is quite a pretty country to drive through. Lovely hills and greens and wind mills. The first camping we stayed at was near Prague but it didn’t feel like it. We were just in the country. I hadn’t realized we were so close to the city until i went on a bike ride with my dad. We biked through a very old, small and quiet village, after that we took a turn and found ourselves in the middle of a parking place, surrounded by an Ikea, Starbucks, McDonald’s, a supermarket that’s open 24 hours and many other shops. This place was very near to our camping place, we had only been biking for about 10 minutes, and it was a world apart. I kind of loved that contrast. Prague itself was such a beautiful city, there were so many beautiful things to be seen there and so many warm, pretty colors. I discovered that there was a Tim Burton exhibition there so I went to visit that and that inspired me so much! All those sketches and stories. If you ever get the chance to visit it, you should!
We also went to a museum for modern art. Just so you know, i don’t very often visit museums, i was never that interested in it, but these places can really be a place of calmness and inspiration. And this museum did that. Seeing some painting i knew from picture books for real, that is so cool. When you see the real colors and the texture and how it looks up close. And it’s so quiet there. Lovely.
We’ve also been to other parts of the country, and i took that time to read and just relax a lot.
